THE AUCTIONEERS

Our auctions range from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. From pots and pans to original Russell Paintings, from small estates to art and Indian collectibles. We have helped raise money for the American Cancer Society, Gift of Life, St Thomas, various schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, Boy Scouts and numerous other community services. We frequently donate our services for benefit auctions for individuals suffering from numerous hardships and health problems.

We were the first auction company in the state to offer the SOLD II system to our clients. This system is a wireless remote computer system, online between clerk and cashier, by means of radio transmitted computer signals. This allows the clerk to move about with the auctioneer and directly key in sale information to the cashier’s computer. This eliminates reentering information and the chance of errors. The cashier gets the record of items sold immediately and there is no waiting for clerking sheets, making checkout quick and error free. The buyer’s receipt is totaled and itemized The seller gets a detailed statement showing buyers, items sold, amounts and all charges or deductions. The system automatically updates and categorizes mailing lists, and alerts cashier of any past due balances. These settlement reports allow for a fast and accurate disbursement and are a MUST for your accountant or attorney.

We are the first auction company in Montana to offer real-time on-line bidding. In conjunction with ICOLLECTOR.COM at our March 2001 Manitou Auction of Art Cowboy and Indian Collectibles, over 300 additional people had registered to bid on-line for the auction. One of the premier web pages in our area for the auction industry, our web page and direct e-mail has expanded our auction buying crowd to unknown lengths. We maintain a database of e-mail addresses of 1000+ people interested in going to auctions. We directly e-mail lists of our upcoming auctions. We can also e-mail with last minute additions, site conditions etc. A high quality digital camera allows us the ability of taking pictures of any item and e-mailing that picture to prospective buyers from all over the country. We then can take absentee bids or phone bids on items. This gives the prospective buyer a much better perspective and usually results in higher bidding.
Burow’s Auction Service Inc is continually striving to stay on the cutting edge of the auction industry.
